Eight Grade 6 & 7 pupils represented Grantleigh at the KZN round of the Kid’s Lit Quiz 2010.  The Kids’ Lit Quiz™ is an international literature competition, which celebrates and rewards reading and literary knowledge.  Teams of four students work together to answer wide-ranging literary questions.  Grantleigh performed very well against stiff competition.   

Congratulations to St Henry’s of Durban who came 1st and now face the best of South Africa to determine who represents South Africa in this year’s World Final to be held in Edinburgh.

Grantleigh arrived in high spirits on Thursday 11 February and although we didn’t win we thoroughly enjoyed the competition and by half way Grantleigh Team 1 was in 4th place, trailing the leaders by 10 points.  Halftime break was much appreciated as the tension and suspense was beginning to get the better of both teams.  The second half was a lot harder but despite this both teams still enjoyed it.  The final result was: Grantleigh Team 1 in sixth place and Team 2 just behind.
